K2 Scuba Online Dive Store

K2 scuba are based in the US, but they ship all over the world. The team there have one of the best and easiest to use websites I’ve seen – it’s dead easy to navigate, and the search function actually works as well!

Before recommending anyone on the site, I check that they offer value for money and that they have a decent returns and guarantee policy, and K2 score on both counts:

  • Pricing – some of the pricing is exceptional, but all is competitive. How about an Oceanic Alpha 8 regulator for just $239? Also have a look at the “featured products” page, where there always seem to be good deals.
  • Returns and guarantees – this is superb! K2 will replace or refund anything that arrives with you that you’re not happy with for whatever reason. That’s real faith in the quality of their products, and this guarantee applies for a full year.

My next few items of dive gear are coming from K2, so I’ll keep you posted as to how the service goes, but in the meantime, go and have a look at their site at www.k2scuba.com

When I was a New Diver.......

Mike Diving Santa Xmas 2005.jpg

.......I did most of my diving with my friend Brian, an old hand, who has been diving for ever, and has forgotten more skills than I've learned.

Now Brian is a great collector when he’s diving and regularly brings up stuff from the sea bed, and his house is a treasure trove of cannon balls and the like.

Scuba Mike's Dive Trip to Gibraltar - Part One

Once again by invitation from a UK dive club, I was lucky enough to check out diving in Gibraltar a couple of years ago. The Brits all flew direct to Gibraltar from Gatwick, but my wife and I decided to make a trip of it, and drove down from Madrid.
